So...here's a recap from last night. I was on assignment for Kakiseni's Tembak Shots... the assignment? To check out just how many malays and malaysians had a problem with our disintegrating morality...

Dear ole dad... if you think my humor is whacked, you should meet my dad.
I was describing to my niece and her friend that the smell outside our window was composting rabbit poop. Her grimace was mild, but my dad was grinning wickedly in the background.
"It's more than rabbit poop... I added in...chicken shit!" he announced with relish.
My niece's grimace was a wonder to behold. She asked "how do you get chicken shit??" and I jumped right in. I mean, that's a question that requires a stupid answer, right?! I mean... right?!?!
"Well, first. He goes to the abbattoir with a pan, which he slips under the chicken as it is being slaughtered. I mean, everyone knows the bowels will loosen when something dies, and ...*whoop!*... instant chicken shit..."
My dad was grinning dementedly in the background, and I realized right then and there... he would have said something to that effect if I hadn't jumped in first.
Which makes me wonder if I didn't get my sense of humor straight off the crazy ole block(head), haha :)

SoulDoc mentioned over vanilla soy cafes that my posts are very wordy...
Translated, that means I talk a lot.
Another thought I chewed over (briefly) was a question asked by KakiCucukLangit, a.k.a. Naz, in his post about WHY we blog.
Umm... well. It used to be to keep friends who are overseas updated. But. I dunno if anyone reads my blog any more haha. So I guess the real answer is... force of habit.
And SoulDoc, these next few pix are for you... hark back to our conversation last night about zippy meals for busy people :)
Prep time: 10 minutes
Ingredients: eggs, 1% milk, Brown Buttons, half a yellow onion, Italian herbs, pinch o' salt, 2 tbsps of Extra Virgin Olive Oil (for the non-stick pan that's no longer non-stick), Crispy Curlies lettuce, 2 slices of toast and Bega Super Slims.

So...I took Da Doll to catch the Transformers. Call it a Rite of Passage...mother to child, the sacred passions of my childhood (these include the Thundercats, Pirates of Dark Water, geez...He-Man?....brain drain, brain drain!), passed down. I had a hard time trying to convince Ms. Langkawi Barbie (cuz we're asian, and aren't near Malibu k?) that the Transformers are a rockin'-A cartoon dream come true!!! Hahahaha!
Anyways, she was impressed...but it took her a while, cuz during the drive...well, baby doll wasn't buying it ;) When we got to the cinema, the drama unfurled. An accumulated list of grievances IN the cinema are as follows:

Haha, I laugh everytime I hear that song... Weird Al is definitely...weird :)
Anyways, I've been down with the flu!!! Yah... and I've had to cancel lots of classes. Part of that was because my voice had a distinct croak to it. But really, I managed to do a demo jingle last night with my froggy voice, so the real reason is I just don't want to sit in a tiny, enclosed room...spreading my germs around.
Doesn't it bother you to hack, choke, cough, wheeze, and snort indelicately in a confined area? Yeesh.
To prove my earnestness in recovering my full health...Here are photographs evincing my sincere intent!
Evidence 1: I have DRUGS!!! I have compiled my medication and snapped a shot, to prove to you that I have indeed been toking up on drugs up the wazoo! Difflam for the throat, antibiotics for the inflamation in my tonsil area, Panadol for those pesky fevers, zyrtec for the drippies...and cough suppressants. Dang if I know the name :)
Evidence 2: Sickie food!!! ABC soup with some stock. Roots which have sprouted roots, carrots, onions (ONIONS HAVE LAYERS, OGRES HAVE LAYERS....ya geddit?!?!)...and a wee bit of pasta. Heh heh.
Evidence 3: Dark Chocolate... an old wive's tale goes that dark chocolate can ease and appease a sore throat. Studies show that dark chocolate has healing properties!!! :D But really, who can resist those nummilicious, ooshy-squooshy balls of decadent Lind'Or??
Evidence 4: Reese Peanut Butter Cups! The ultimate sickie test... pop a few of those bastards in, and if your sore throat doesn't get worse, it means that the drugs, dark chocolate, and sickie food, have WORKED!!! Hallelujah!
I rest my case :)
To hubby, who has been sending me hate sms for fucking up on the Skype phone purchase, I'd like you to know that yes, my love. I'm feeling better. Thanks for asking. I've been taking care of myself. And I've got the proof for yas. You might never forgive me for not testing that phone, but it's a wee bit hard to when the shop proprietor doesn't have skype, I don't have skype credit, and in general have been ill.
There. NOW I'm done :D

It started with Empress and the Vienese Debutante Ball... Empress had the brainstorm, to get her hair and face done at the Estee Lauder model search, held at Midvalley's Centre Court. For RM300, you get professionally done hair and makeup, a door gift, a professionaly taken A4 photo and a RM250 Estee Lauder voucher, redeemable on the same day.
So me being me, I sat around ragging her and making racist jokes lah. Hawhaw! Anyways, I'd made plans with SoulDoctor to meet up while Empress was having her beautifying session.
When SoulDoc arrived, I decided to tag along with her to hit the ATM, then on the the Dance Shop (for dance shoes), and then to Madam Kwan's for an extremely late lunch. We had a good meal, but a really stoned waiter. He couldn't quite grasp the dynamics of a vegetarian meal, and in his mind, prawns are a type of vegetable.
It was, without belaboring on about it, a very ridiculous 3 minutes spent on ordering food :p
Anyway, I'm fairly sure we spent a half hour (or less) at Madam Kwan's... catching up on news. SoulDoc's in the Starmaker Music Theatre bootcamp, and she had a lot of interesting stories to tell :) Empress, however, had yet to join us, so we decided to just pick up the bill and join her instead.
When we got there, she was just getting her hair done. Mind you, an hour on makeup isn't very funny, okay :p Anyways, long-long-LONG story short, a series of factors (Sheila, the salesgirl, who was really sweet and a little pitiful hehe....SoulDoc, who'd shamed me into getting a shot done for future show ads, and Empress, who'd ragged me about...I can't even remember. I was fairly sure I was the one doing the ragging :p) contributed to my decision to glam up and get snapped.
Here's the standard touched-up version. I am definitely showing my chinese side more, ironically. Considering my racist jokes were of the anti-chinese look bent :p
Well, I didn't want to waste a good set of makeup, so I asked my sis (the one who was home...:p) to take a few test shots. These are a couple of her shots.
I favour not looking at the camera. What do you think?
Also, I do not favor my hair standing about 5 inches above my head. Especially if it's just my fringe :p
Moi, showing off eyeball versatility...look, Ma!! I can look to the left! Hoo-hoooo!!
Dead on. Prefer this pose to the one the photog/touch-up artist chose.
Anyway, that being said, I liked the end result. Despite my personal preferences on hair, the original do didn't turn out too bad :p Also, the make up did NOT take me an hour *coughEmpresscough!* to complete, so I'm really pleased with that part of it too :)
Sis is gonna touch up those pics she took, Photoshop them so I can use them for any future gig promo material, and in the meantime... I'm Sally Jang...whatcha think? :)
P/s: SoulDoc, I'm putting these up for you, k??

No, not talking about cars here...zomg!!! I had the midnight munchies in a BIG way. So... since I'm supposed to be watching what I put into my (gigantic) belly, I thought of soup. But, hold the phone there! We're out of good ole Campbell's... and I was having a MAJOR craving for soup...
Rummaged in the frig... geez. The veggie crisper's actually stocked, yah? Dunno what m'dad's been on, but he's been marketing. Wow! I found chinese lettuce... so peeled off one leaf. One. Leaf. And grabbed a carrot I suspect was meant for the bunny (sorry Hopper luv!!) and found in the root basket red onions, cloves of garlic, and potatoes.
So... chopped up the pitiful leaf, made little carrot wheels which I halved and set to soak clean. Peeled a potato with a knife not meant for peeling (I was a wee bit afraid I'd slice off a digit with that knife), cubed an onion and smashed up some garlic.
It's not really a big meal. Seriously. The one potato wouldn't have done as much damage as a plate of maggi goreng with the requisite telur mata kerbau, french fried and soggy with week-old oil. I didn't even use a large potato, but a medium-sized one.
But, in my zeal, I had thrown in roughly 2 liters (I suspect it was closer to three liters...) of water, and I felt duty bound to finish it. That much water, plus the two glasses of unflavored H2O, is the reason that I'm now wide awake and sitting up, unable to get horizontal as is my habit, with my book.
Whoa... right after washing up, I was dashing for the loo... that much water, okay?! :p Hahahahaha...!!!
Anyway, I think I'm going to play the Sims 2 some more. I'm way too full to lie down.
But I just want to clarify... it's MOSTLY WATER! (I keep telling myself that, I won't feel so bad about indulging, hehe) :D
