Silly afternoon...
It started with Empress and the Vienese Debutante Ball... Empress had the brainstorm, to get her hair and face done at the Estee Lauder model search, held at Midvalley's Centre Court. For RM300, you get professionally done hair and makeup, a door gift, a professionaly taken A4 photo and a RM250 Estee Lauder voucher, redeemable on the same day.
So me being me, I sat around ragging her and making racist jokes lah. Hawhaw! Anyways, I'd made plans with SoulDoctor to meet up while Empress was having her beautifying session.
When SoulDoc arrived, I decided to tag along with her to hit the ATM, then on the the Dance Shop (for dance shoes), and then to Madam Kwan's for an extremely late lunch. We had a good meal, but a really stoned waiter. He couldn't quite grasp the dynamics of a vegetarian meal, and in his mind, prawns are a type of vegetable.
It was, without belaboring on about it, a very ridiculous 3 minutes spent on ordering food :p
Anyway, I'm fairly sure we spent a half hour (or less) at Madam Kwan's... catching up on news. SoulDoc's in the Starmaker Music Theatre bootcamp, and she had a lot of interesting stories to tell :) Empress, however, had yet to join us, so we decided to just pick up the bill and join her instead.
When we got there, she was just getting her hair done. Mind you, an hour on makeup isn't very funny, okay :p Anyways, long-long-LONG story short, a series of factors (Sheila, the salesgirl, who was really sweet and a little pitiful hehe....SoulDoc, who'd shamed me into getting a shot done for future show ads, and Empress, who'd ragged me about...I can't even remember. I was fairly sure I was the one doing the ragging :p) contributed to my decision to glam up and get snapped.
Here's the standard touched-up version. I am definitely showing my chinese side more, ironically. Considering my racist jokes were of the anti-chinese look bent :p
Well, I didn't want to waste a good set of makeup, so I asked my sis (the one who was home...:p) to take a few test shots. These are a couple of her shots.
I favour not looking at the camera. What do you think?
Also, I do not favor my hair standing about 5 inches above my head. Especially if it's just my fringe :p
Moi, showing off eyeball versatility...look, Ma!! I can look to the left! Hoo-hoooo!!
Dead on. Prefer this pose to the one the photog/touch-up artist chose.
Anyway, that being said, I liked the end result. Despite my personal preferences on hair, the original do didn't turn out too bad :p Also, the make up did NOT take me an hour *coughEmpresscough!* to complete, so I'm really pleased with that part of it too :)
Sis is gonna touch up those pics she took, Photoshop them so I can use them for any future gig promo material, and in the meantime... I'm Sally Jang...whatcha think? :)
P/s: SoulDoc, I'm putting these up for you, k??
